About the Role
As a Lifestyle Assistant, you will design and deliver engaging individual and group activities to support residents’ emotional, physical, and social wellbeing.
Your responsibilities include:
Planning and facilitating lifestyle programs based on individual needs
Supporting new residents as they settle into the home
Documenting participation and outcomes of lifestyle activities
Advocating for residents and addressing any concerns or requests
Maintaining compliance with aged care quality standards and policies
Assisting with evaluation of residents’ wellbeing and providing updates to nursing staff
Contributing to safe, respectful, and enjoyable living environments
What We’re Looking For
National Police Certificate (current or willingness to obtain)
First Aid Certificate
Manual Handling training
Valid Driver’s Licence
Understanding of aged care issues
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work respectfully in a diverse, team-based setting
Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle or CERT III or IV in Aged Care
Desirable:
Awareness of dementia care principles
Experience with aged care documentation
Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and WHS
Ability to speak Italian is highly regarded
