Job Summary:
Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a reliable and skilled Light Vehicle Driver to join our dynamic team in Coimbatore. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating light vehicles for transportation services, ensuring timely and efficient delivery, and adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities:
• Drive light vehicles to transport goods, personnel, or materials to specified locations.
• Ensure the vehicle is well-maintained and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Conduct daily pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, including fuel levels, tire pressure, and fluid checks.
• Follow all road safety regulations and company policies to ensure safe driving at all times.
• Maintain accurate trip logs and vehicle documentation as required.
• Adhere to scheduled routes and timelines while being flexible to last-minute changes or urgent requests.
• Assist with loading and unloading of materials when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the vehicle at all times.
• Communicate effectively with the team and supervisors regarding transportation needs or issues.
• Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Valid drivers license for light vehicles.
• Excellent knowledge of traffic rules and safety standards.
• Ability to drive for long hours in different weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to vehicle maintenance.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Physical ability to assist with loading and unloading of goods.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience:
• Previous experience as a Light Vehicle Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Experience in driving within Coimbatore and surrounding areas is a plus.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation and route planning systems is an advantage.
• Working Hours:
• Full-time position with a standard working schedule (+:00 AM to 6:00 PM).
• Flexibility in working hours required based on transportation needs, including occasional weekend work.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong driving record with no significant accidents or violations.
• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
• Time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Physically fit to perform the duties required (loading and unloading).
