Job Description
Requirements for this role:
Performs passenger and light commercial vehicle repairs and diagnostic, according to prescribed procedures and work standards using proper tools.
Undertake diagnostic trouble shooting and repairs of the following as required:
Brake system
Suspension system
Steering system
Cooling system
Minor and full servicng
Minor Electrical Repair
Engine management scanning
Discuss descriptions of vehicle problems, and work to be performed with customers
Examine vehicles to determine the damage or malfunction
Test drive vehicles,test components and systems using specialised testing equipment
Repair, replace and adjust worn or faulty parts
Disassemble and reassemble engines, brakes, transmissions or steering gear
Follow checklist to confirm all parts are examined and tested
Tune engines using specialised equipment and adjust accordingly
Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Knowledge of a wide range of motor vehicles and motor vehicle technology
Strong attention to detail
Strong Diagnostic skills
Good problem solving skills
Able to work in a team environment with outstanding work ethics
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or its Australian equivalent trade qualification
Valid NSW or international driver's license
EXPERIENCE:
At least 5 years' experience as a fully qualified Automotive Technician/Motor Mechanic

Pay: $78,000.00 – $84,000.00 per year
