Job Description
Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain the lighthouse's automated light system and other safety equipment.
Conduct regular inspections of the tower and surrounding facilities.
Record weather data and maintain operational logs.
Respond to system alerts and report issues to the central control unit.
Keep the premises tidy and perform light maintenance and cleaning tasks.
Requirements:
Right to work in the UK.
Good physical health and stamina; comfortable with heights and remote locations.
Background in facilities maintenance, maritime operations, or technical systems is desirable.
Ability to work independently for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and sense of responsibility.
Location: Remote UK coastline or island (e.g., Cornwall, Orkney, or Pembrokeshire)
Working Pattern: Rotational or seasonal (e.g., 3 weeks on, 1 week off) depending on the site
Salary: £22,000 – £30,000 annually (accommodation and essentials included)
