Job Description
We are seeking responsible and dedicated candidates to work as Lighthouse Keepers on islands near Mumbai. This role involves managing and maintaining lighthouse operations on isolated islands to ensure the safety of marine vessels navigating Mumbai’s coastal waters. The job requires staying on the island for extended periods, performing routine maintenance, and monitoring navigational aids.
Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain lighthouse lighting and signaling equipment on the island
Conduct regular inspections and repairs to ensure smooth operation
Maintain detailed logs of weather conditions and lighthouse activity
Ensure the lighthouse functions continuously, especially during adverse weather
Live and work in isolated island conditions, adhering to safety protocols Requirements:
Willingness to stay on remote islands for extended periods
Good physical fitness and mental resilience
Basic technical knowledge or aptitude for learning
Attention to detail and reliability
Prior maritime or electrical experience is beneficial but not mandatory
