We are looking for a talented and motivated Line Chef to join our kitchen team at The Dragonfly Hotel in Colchester.
The Dragonfly Colchester hotel offers a relaxing and comfortable place to stay whether travelling for business or leisure. With Colchester’s historic City Centre just a few minutes away and the beautiful Essex countryside close by, it’s the ideal base from which to explore the local area.
As a Line Chef you will be tasked with cooking food to an outstanding level to provide to all of our customers and we are looking for experience in either a hotel or pub environment.
We are looking for you to have:
• Great cooking skills
• The ability to work well under pressure
• The ability to deliver high standards consistently
• Outstanding attention to detail
• High standards of health and hygiene
• Clear communication skills
The Line Chef role requires:
• Preparing and cooking items on the menu
• The cleaning and maintaining of equipment
• Complying to food safety and other regulations and rules as set out by the business
• Organising and labelling the kitchen and it's storage
• Ordering in stock
• Keeping wastage to a minimum
• Managing in the kitchen
