What You Will Do:
Preparing food orders as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Keeping the work area stocked, organized, and clean at all times.
Ensuring the work areas and equipment are kept functional and orderly at all times; reporting any deficiencies, as necessary.
Preparing and issuing products requested by other departments.
Ensuring fridges, freezers, storerooms, and areas where food is stored are kept secure.
Referring to the kitchen logbook and inquiring about soup of the day, specials, or functions and preparing them accordingly.
Assisting with the receiving and proper storage of all deliveries.
Performing any other job-related duties assigned by the supervisor/manager.

Works cooperatively with others.
Knows how to operate and perform routine maintenance on equipment located in the kitchen.
Applies safe work practices.
Is available for shift, evening, and weekend work.
Is able to perform efficiently under pressure and within time restraints.
Please Be Aware:
You may be expected to be on your feet for long periods of time.
Some physical labour and heavy lifting is required.
The job involves a rigorous pace of work.
Skill Requirements:
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
A strong ability to handle and solve customer related concerns and report them to supervisor, as necessary.
Knowledge and Training:
Knowledge of WHMIS program.
Food Safe Level I certificate is required.
Industry Experience and Benefits:
Previous experience in the food industry is an asset.
