Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line and Prep Cook to join our culinary team on weekends FRIDAY - SUNDAY AFTERNOONS AND NIGHTS. This job is for our Simply Nawlins by Finna Eat location at Politan Row Ashford Lane looking to welcome a new essential team member. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly while providing high-quality meal preparation and maintaining cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have experience in culinary settings, including restaurants or dietary departments, and a strong commitment to food safety and hygiene standards. Must be available nights and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Be comfortable speaking to clients and taking their order.
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
- Assist in the meal preparation process, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other cooking equipment efficiently.
- Follow food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with the business to support catering events or special functions as needed.
- Ensure that all food is stored properly and labeled according to safety standards.
- Assist with inventory management by reporting low stock levels of ingredients or supplies.

Qualifications
-MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK FRIDAY AND SATURDAY 3PM-11PM AND SUNDAY 1PM-9PM
- Previous experience as a cook or in a dietary aide role is required.
-Culinary arts education is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with the kitchen.
- Experience in meal preparation, food preparation, or catering is a plus.
- A passion for culinary arts and commitment to providing excellent service.
Additional Requirements
-You must be 18 or older.
-Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
-Must have at least an elementary level of English speaking proficiency.
-Must have a driver's license, or a reliable method of commuting to work.
- Must pass a skills test.
- Pay determined by skills and experience.
-Plus if you can work at our location on Campbellton Rd.
