About The Role
Join our nationally recognised and trusted brands, known for its excellent customer service and reliable equipment. B&D Doors are looking for dedicated Line Haul Drivers to join our team and help us continue delivering exceptional service across the country.
B&D Doors are currently recruiting Christchurch based Line Haul Drivers to commence with us on a full-time basis transporting and delivering garage doors. This role will see you working 50–60 hours per week, with the truck route starting at our Christchurch site and working between Invercargill and Whangarei.
We require an effective and capable driver that can ensure the timely, accurate delivery of customer requirements within your driving hours. This is a hands-on driving role, and you are the face of our business, visiting a number of our customers on a weekly basis.
The role is fundamentally responsible for the day to day national deliveries and can require the driver to be on the road for a maximum of 4-5 nights per week. It won't be uncomfortable though as you'll be driving high end European equipment!
Responsibilities
Transport goods across New Zealand, ensuring timely, undamaged and safe delivery
Interact with customers and dealers nationwide, providing excellent service
Manage your schedule and runs efficiently
Handle physical aspects of the job, including manual loading and unloading of garage door panels and componentry

Skills And Experience
To be successful in this role you will have a clean Class 5 drivers license and:
Adaptability: Ability to handle different delivery sites and unloading methods
Communication Skills: Polite and effective communication with customers and team members
Problem-Solving: Ability to deal with challenges such as ferry delays and traffic
Physical Fitness: Capability to handle the physical demands of the job
Safety Awareness: Commitment to safe driving and unloading practices
Capability: Long haul, Class 5 experience throughout New Zealand and some sharp backing and manoeuvring skills
