Role Overview: The Line Manager is a key leadership role responsible for mentoring, guiding, and supporting Centre Directors and staff across i9 Education centres in the South Eastern suburbs. This position is instrumental in ensuring daily operational excellence, regulatory compliance, staff development, and centre performance. The Line Manager also acts as a liaison between centres and the Head Office, helping drive continuous improvement and uphold the brand values of i9 Education.
Key Responsibilities:
Child-Centred Care and Wellbeing
· Ensure all operational practices prioritise the wellbeing, safety, and inclusion of every child across centres.
· Support the development and implementation of Inclusion Support Plans and SRF (Supporting Requirements Funding) to enhance children's access and participation.
· Promote a child-centred approach by ensuring staff ratios are consistently maintained and centres are adequately staffed at all times.
Educational Program & Curriculum
· Assist in maintaining high educational standards by supporting Centre Directors in preparing for Assessment & Rating (A&R) visits and ensuring the ongoing development and submission of Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs)..
Health, Safety and Supervision
· Monitor daily staffing levels to guarantee regulatory ratios are upheld, ensuring safe environments for all children.
· Oversee compliance with the National Law, Regulations, and the National Quality Standards (NQS), supporting centres in quality assurance practices.
· Support return-to-work plans for staff, ensuring a safe and supportive transition back into the workplace.
Team Collaboration
· Lead and mentor Centre Directors and their teams in day-to-day operations, ensuring cohesive teamwork and operational excellence.
· Actively participate in regular MS Teams meetings with Head Office and collaborate closely with the Operations and Executive Teams to align goals.
· Manage staff arrangements including rosters, leave approvals, and staffing queries, ensuring smooth centre operations.
Family & Community Engagement
· Engage with local community services and networks to enhance resources, partnerships, and opportunities for centres.
· Act as a brand ambassador at public events, fostering positive community relationships and promoting the organisation's values.
Centre Operations & Environment Support
· Attend and support centres based on operational needs, providing hands-on leadership and troubleshooting assistance.
· Oversee staffing efficiency and cost controls through effective use of the BI portal and other operational systems.
· Assist in planning and delivering internal events, marketing activities, and centre-wide initiatives to enrich centre environments.
Reporting & Documentation
· Submit weekly Line Manager reports and maintain consistent communication with the Operations Manager.
· Manage updates to policies, handbooks, and compliance documentation, including collecting and actioning feedback from stakeholders.
· Ensure ongoing management and oversight of enrolment systems, staffing documentation, and policy reviews.
Training & Development
· Guide and support the professional growth of Centre Directors and educators through mentoring, coaching, and leadership development initiatives.
· Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for Centre Directors to strengthen leadership capacity.
· Support the delivery of staff performance reviews, training in operational compliance, and professional growth opportunities.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $79,332.93 – $152,649.90 per year
