Job Description
Knowledge in Linux shell, RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer) will be an additional benefit. Administer to provide top-level support for 400+ servers (Centos and Ubuntu Linux) along with virtualized servers, and backups server systems.
Requirements
Breadth and depth of experience/Strong Knowledge with Linux, especially RedHat/Centos and other Debian-based distributions.
Experience/Strong Knowledge with Linux shell and other scripting languages (e.g. awk, sed, Perl) and an understanding of regular expressions (e.g. s/\s\s/_/g)
Experience/Strong Knowledge of kernel-based packet filtering (e.g. iptables, netfilter), masquerading, port forwarding, and redirection.
Familiarity with MongoDB and MySQL, Routing and Switching, TCP/ IP stack.
Familiarity with Routing and switching.
Affinity for troubleshooting and diagnosing network connectivity problems.
Maintain the security posture of operational systems by applying and verifying patches by STIG compliance.
Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
