Linux Systems Engineer

Principal tasks and responsibilities include:
Design, build, and maintain infrastructure solutions across distributed Linux-based environments
Develop automation and scripting solutions to support system deployment, configuration, and ongoing management
Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization and tuning strategies
Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of infrastructure through proactive support and maintenance
Provide L2/L3 support, including incident resolution and participation in on-call rotations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions

Qualifications and pre-requisites:
5-7 years of experience in systems administration within Linux-based environments
Strong expertise in Linux operating systems (e.g., RedHat or similar distributions)
Experience with automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible or similar)
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, or similar)
Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Nagios, or equivalent)
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
Experience with virtualization, containerization, or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) considered an asset
