About the role
You will join a boutique litigation practice known for complex commercial and fraud matters. Working closely with senior counsel, you’ll take files from intake through trial, with real opportunities to appear in court and shape litigation strategy.
Key responsibilities
File carriage & advocacy
Draft pleadings, affidavits, facta, motion records, and trial materials with minimal supervision.
Conduct examinations, attend case conferences, motions, and trials.
Provide succinct written opinions and client updates.
Research & analysis
Identify issues quickly, ask the right questions, and leverage CanLII, Westlaw, and other tools to find authoritative answers.
Stay current with the Rules of Civil Procedure and emerging case law.
Collaboration & workflow
Work directly with partners, clerks, and clients to move files forward efficiently.
Maintain documents in and manage evidence in litigation software.
What you’ll bring
4–7 years of focused civil or commercial litigation experience.
Demonstrated mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint (or similar DMS).
Proven ability to draft clear, persuasive court materials without heavy editing.
Confidence and professionalism in oral advocacy—comfortable making submissions on short notice.
A strategic, inquisitive mindset: you don’t need every answer, but you know how to find it fast.

Pay: $70,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
