Job Purpose

Litigation and Dispute Resolution:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic lawyer to join the Regulatory, Disputes and Litigation division of our corporate legal team at the head/corporate office at Gurugram.

We seek a passionate, responsible, and hard-working lawyer who displays leadership, curiosity, teamwork and commitment. The role fundamentally involves providing legal advice, initiating and defending litigation, managing litigation database, coordinating with various stakeholders within the organization and to provide accurate legal advice and assistance while securing the business interests of the organization.

Candidates must display or develop an understanding of finance and numbers and are expected to find solutions having business efficacy. .

The candidate is expected to be a team player and be able to contribute to all the different work done by the legal team.

Candidates with experience in litigation, preferably with specific experience in infrastructure and projects (preferably electricity/renewable energy sector), are encouraged to apply. Female candidates are encouraged to apply.

The candidate shall be expected to travel for court hearings, client meetings etc. and other related work to metro cities as well as the project sites, for which the company shall provide the necessary assistance.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Leading and managing cases and issues related to Litigation and Dispute Resolution .

• Advising various business verticals on legal issues associated with contracts, compliances, land related disputes, regulatory issues etc.

• To distil and communicate complex legal issues in a simple, business-friendly manner, and assist in providing business-friendly solutions within the legal framework.

• Drafting various dispute notices, claim letters, responses as per the terms of the project agreements (including Supply agreement, O&M Agreements, Erection and Commissioning and Balance of Plant Agreements etc).

• Risk assessment and advisory of various tenders/RfS other bid related documents for setting up of renewable energy projects

• Maintenance and updating of Master Information system (MIS) comprising of all the ongoing litigations in the Company.

• Engaging and co-ordination with the external counsels for litigation .

• Assisting in audit compliances, legal diligence, process mapping etc
