Weiner, Millo, Morgan & Bonanno is a thriving Midtown, New York, based Insurance Defense Firm, that is currently seeking a candidate for the position of litigation paralegal to our Insurance Defense Team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant legal experience within the litigation sphere. We offer hybrid working schedules and ideally the candidate will possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to multitask and provide support from the inception of the case all the way through to trial.
Key Responsibilities:
o Analyze review and organize documents obtained directly from the client or throughout the discovery process
o Draft, prepare and serve legal documents via hand-delivery, email, mail service (fed ex., certified, certificate of mailing, certified RRR etc.)
o Collaborate with other legal professionals within the firm to ensure a cohesive process
o Preparation of legal filings and court filings, i.e., E-filing court documents
Qualifications:
o Paralegal experience in the area of insurance defense law
o At least 2+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal
o Experience with legal drafting and document management and e-filing systems, at both the state and federal level
o Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
o Excellent writing, typing and communication skills
o Highly organized and detail-oriented
o Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in fast-paced environment
o Experience with document management systems
o Strong teamwork, and interpersonal skills, along with being self-motivated
