Key:
• Legal Assistant/Paralegal Certificate or Diploma from an accredited institution, along with a minimum of 2 years of Personal Injury Plaintiff
• Independently manage a high volume of files with efficiency and accuracy.
• Coordinate the flow of documents between internal and external clients at all levels.
• Proactively initiate follow-up actions to expedite workflow.
• Prepare, draft, and revise legal documents and letters with minimal direction.
• Assist in trial preparation, including the organization of exhibits, witness lists and trial binders
• Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance companies and opposing counsel
• Assist in the preparation for questioning and briefs as needed.
• Assist in trial preparation, including the organization of exhibits, witness lists and trial binders
• Draft pleadings such as Statements of Claim, write correspondence, and manage requests and follow-ups for medical records independently.
• Complete undertakings with minimal instruction and handle requests for productions autonomously.
• Utilize reminder or limitation systems to manage deadline dates effectively.
• Perform court searches, schedule various applications, questionings, and court dates.
• Coordinate independent medical examinations and the retention of experts.
• Communicate effectively and independently with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, counsel and external parties.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and apps (Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint).
• Exhibit excellent file management, proofreading, and appointment scheduling skills.
• Maintain strong attention to detail.
• Work independently, multitask, and prioritize effectively.
• Be highly organized and accustomed to high-level work in a fast-paced environment.
• Display excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a busy practice.
• Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English is required. Fluency in additional languages will be considered a strong asset.
