A lovely family based in Hawkley, Hampshire is looking to employ an experienced Live-in Housekeeper/Cook to manage their household and assist with family cooking.
This is a full time position commencing mid September with a week’s handover alongside the current housekeeper.
The role would suit a candidate who is reliable, organised, flexible and who enjoys working as part of a team. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for all housekeeping duties, including laundry, washing, ironing, wardrobe management, flower arranging and liaising with contractors. You should be a confident cook who enjoys preparing meals and is happy to assist with family cooking.
Additional Duties To Include
• Care of fine art, silver and antiques
• Assistance with dog walking and feeding.
• Some light garden duties to include - watering of Courtyard garden, Greenhouse, veg garden. Sweeping of courtyard garden and entry porches.
• Coverage/control of main house, cottage and dogs when family travel
A confident driver is essential as the role requires you to run errands, carry out airport runs and do the food shopping. A car will be provided for work purposes.
The family has horses, ponies and dogs so it is important that you are comfortable around animals.
Working hours are Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm with occasional weekend assistance if the family are entertaining.
Accommodation is provided in the form of a lovely two bedroom cottage (Utilities paid). Pets may be considered.
Salary on offer is £40k+ gross per annum depending on experience.
