Your new role
Centurion Transport in Perth is currently seeking an experienced loader and forklift operator to join our Yard operations department full-time as a Freight Officer. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient handling and receipt of freight, responsible for loading, unloading and restraining general freight of all sizes. You must have previous experience using ratchet straps, chains and binders regularly on a daily basis. This will contribute to the smooth running of our operations and make a real impact on our business. Tuesday to Saturday roster
Various shift times available for the right candidate (AM - 6am or PM - 1:30pm starts) - potential for overtime
Additional allowance and penalties on top of base rate

Perth Airport location (free parking)
All PPE and uniforms provided, including steel cap boots

Tasks & Responsibilities
Operating various sized counterbalance forklifts (2.5T, 7T and 16T)
Processing various types of general freight from beginning to end (palletised, ugly and oversize)
Secure and restrain all loads as per the load restraint guide, with ratchet straps, chains and binders
Ensuring all scanning is accurate and complete for freight in the received, loaded, staged and unloaded functions
Preparation of outgoing freight ensuring that goods are secured and packed correctly for dispatch
Guaranteeing freight is loaded in time to meet scheduled vehicle departure times
Requirements of the role
Current Forklift Licence (LF)
Experience with general ugly/oversize freight
Expert in load restraints using ratchet straps, chains and binders
Ability to take direction from management and supervisors
Preferred scanning experience
Customer service and communication skills
Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, and RIPPA values
