Loader/Order Picker (Permanent, FT, MUST BE AVAILABLE TO START AT 3pm-midnight)
Burnbrae Farms Lyn Grading has a position available as a Loader/Order Picker. The Loader and Order Picker will be part of a team that is responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt of goods into the facility and the accurate and timely shipment of goods to our customers. You will be trained to Order Pick to begin so there is a good base knowledge built before moving to the docks where you will assist with Loading and Unloading of products.
· Term: Permanent, Full-Time, 40 hours per week
· Address: 3356 County Rd. 27, Lyn, ON K0E 1M0
· Pay Rate: $22.52ph (+$1.00 Freezer Premium)
· Shift:
· Shipping department is 24/7 (including weekends and statutory holidays), so hours will be varied from week-to-week.
i. Department operates during the hours of 7am to 12am (midnight).
ii. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK THOSE SHIFTS – MAINLY AFTERNOONS.
iii. Sunday-Thursday, starts at 3pm
iv. Tuesday – Saturday, starts at 3pm
v. Monday - Friday, starts at 3pm
· OT: after 42.5 hours
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Load store orders coming from the cooler onto the trucks to be shipped to customers.
Verify load order are correct, strapped in properly, and have equipment that is assigned to the load on the truck.
Unload and Receive products, complete proper paperwork, signoffs and verification of products.
Pick store orders in accordance with the pick label in both a Cooler and Freezer environment, focusing on accuracy.
Pile various size boxes onto skids, ensuring neat, safe, and secure piles.
Keep floors tidy of debris and broken egg; ensure the space between the pallets and the wall is clear of debris.
Complete daily safety check on the power cart and/or stacker; report any issues or concerns to the Supervisor.
Move pallets of eggs from the grading floor to the graded cooler
When moving inventory, ensure that product is moved safely to avoid breakage of product.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge Skills and Experience
High School Education preferred.
Must be able to lift 1-50lbs.
Must have attention to detail.
Must have a great work ethic, attendance and willing to work as a team player.
Must be able to work in a loud and busy environment.
Must be able to work in a cold environment for Order Picking.
Must be able to read and follow work instructions and policies on proper load procedures and Order Picking procedures.
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Ability to work within a team setting as well as independently.
