Job description, work day and responsibilities
Manage the professional development of staff through all levels of their organization
Responsible for resolving escalations and primary point of contact for upstream business partners
Responsible for designing and implementing Organizational objectives across all levels
Partner with business & legal teams to improve partnership and collaboration on new deals
Partner with technology teams to improve existing processes and develop new technologies
Drive a robust control focused organization focused on limiting risks, support audits and other testing as applicable
Champion team accomplishments, drive team culture and comradery, Maintain high levels of engagement with the Lenders, Credit executives/Underwriters, Client service executives and Bankers
Required Qualifications, Skill and Capabilities
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12+ Years of relevant Deal Closing work preferably for syndicated loans or experience in a back office/financial industry
Required experience reading and interpreting loan documentation or related experience dealing with legal documentation is preferred, Loan operations experience is preferred
You should have knowledge of loan systems like Loan IQ will hold an added advantage, You should have knowledge of nostro/cash matching, General Ledger reconciliation and SWIFT and remittance systems
Strong problem solving and investigative skills to undertake analysis, resolve issues/problems related to the process, Strong risk & control mindset, Knowledge of investment banking products including Loan.
