Commercial Banking - Loan And Agency Services Description -
The CB Loan Operations team is responsible for servicing a portfolio of syndicated (Agency and non-Agency) loans across 12 geographies in Asia, 6 in EMEA and the region of North America. The team also provides support to Secondary Loan Trading Settlements and Deal Set-up. Support is provided for the held to maturity and held to sale portfolios for the Commercial and Investment customers of the bank. Servicing involves deal set up, processing new and subsequent draws, pay downs, rollovers, interest and fees application, sub-participation support. Given global nature of the service delivery, the team provides 24/5 business support and partners with internal & External stakeholders across the globe, cutting across various time zones.
Team Leader- Loan & Agency- Wholesale Lending Services
As a Deal Closer, you'll provide operational support to the Commercial & Investment Bank for syndicated credit structures where JPMorgan is a Lending Bank. This position is responsible for entire post-origination cycle which involves gathering the credit and regulatory and compliance requirements and subsequent detailed review of the credit agreement followed by set up of the Credits in firms Book Keeping System and handing the credits over to the Loan Servicing Team. You'll have direct contact with Agent, Borrowers, and Business Partners while performing Loan Closing.
Essential Responsibilities
• Read and interpret complex legal credit agreements and related documentation, working with attorneys when applicable
• Negotiating with customers, bankers, underwriters and legal counsel on legal and policy components of loan documents
• Reviewing case and documentation summaries prepared by analysts
• Initiate credit set up as per credit agreements and loan activity (fundings, payments) as instructed by the Agent in accordance with credit agreements
• Initiate and reconcile automated funds' movements in accordance with client/agent instructions
• Regularly updating closing database to reflect closing status and assisting in the creation of departmental procedures.
• Provide information as requested by agent, business partners, middle office
• Monitor control reports and update applicable comments
• Participate in system testing as needed, which may occur during non-business hours
• Assist with any administrative tasks associated with the terms of a Credit Agreement
• Perform quality control on new deals, restructures, and amendments by thoroughly understanding the credit agreement and verifying system set up accuracy
• Back up co-workers and work with various special projects or other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
• Minimum Graduate Degree from an accredited university, preferably majoring in accounting, finance, economics or math. Related job and industry experience can be accepted as a substitute (4+ years)
• 4-5 Years of Loans/Syndicated Loans experience or loan operations (LoanIQ Experience is a plus)
• General to intermediate accounting knowledge
• Ability to manage concurrent assignments in an effective, efficient, and organized manner
• Ability to work independently within a team environment
• Excellent oral and written communications skills and strong interpersonal/client servicing skills
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and proven decision-making skills
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
• Experience with reading and interpreting loan documentation or related experience dealing with legal documentation is preferred. Multicurrency loan products and intricate pricing knowledge.
• Should be comfortable for Night shifts
