Role: Loan Processor
Job Description: As a loan processor, your primary responsibility is to facilitate the loan application and approval process. You will work closely with loan officers, underwriters, and borrowers to gather and evaluate all necessary information and documentation. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously will be vital in ensuring a smooth and efficient loan processing experience for all parties involved.
Responsibilities:
Application Review: Review loan applications received from loan officers or borrowers to ensure completeness, accuracy, and adherence to lending policies and guidelines.
Document Collection: Collect and verify all required documents, such as income statements, tax returns, bank statements, credit reports, and property appraisals, to support the loan application.
Applicant Communication: Maintain regular communication with loan officers, underwriters, and borrowers to request additional information or clarify any discrepancies in the loan application.
Loan File Preparation: Prepare loan files by organizing and indexing all relevant documents, ensuring they are properly labeled and stored for easy retrieval.
Verification and Validation: Verify and validate the information provided in loan applications by conducting thorough background checks, contacting employers, financial institutions, and other relevant parties.
Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with all applicable lending regulations, including but not limited to, the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), and Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
Loan Approval Assistance: Assist underwriters in evaluating loan applications by providing them with complete and accurate information, addressing any outstanding conditions, and resolving any discrepancies.
Timely Updates: Maintain regular and timely updates on the status of loan applications, both internally within the organization and to the borrowers, loan officers, and other stakeholders.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve the loan processing workflow, suggesting process enhancements and implementing best practices.
Documentation Integrity: Ensure all loan documents are accurately completed, signed, and dated, maintaining the integrity of the loan file throughout the process.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (some employers may prefer an associate's or bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field).
Previous experience in loan processing, mortgage lending, or a related role is highly desirable.
Familiarity with loan origination software and other relevant computer applications.
Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and other stakeholders.
Sound knowledge of lending regulations and compliance requirements.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in basic computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and email.

Salary: ₹15,776.03 - ₹2+,7+4.47 per month
