About your Role
Join our dynamic Credit Operations Team as a full time Loans Assessor (Secured). You will be responsible for providing professional lending services for all secured credit submissions received via our retail and third-party distribution network including credit cards within set time frames. You will undertake a detailed credit analysis before the granting of credit, based on credit information provided by a borrower to meet their requirements and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Make accurate and compliant credit decision in line with all current regulatory and government legislation, the Bank's Credit Risk Policy Framework and principles within the Delegated Lending Authority (DLA) reflecting the philosophy and values of Teachers Mutual Bank
Provide professional levels of representation for the Bank at all times following corporate standards to our members, internal departments and third parties
Strong Stakeholder engagement providing feedback and coaching to 1st party sales bankers
Issue credit documentation, while approvals ensure statutory and compliance requirements are adhered. Check credit related documentation required to support and settle credit applications for accuracy and compliance
Follow up outstanding action items and documents to ensure credit applications are enforceable and accurate at the time of funding. Instruct internal and external parties to prepare and issue enforceable and accurate credit contracts and related documents
About You
You are an analytical professional with a proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders with attention to detail as well as having:
Strong proven experience in credit underwriting and holding a delegation authority for secured lending.
Strong knowledge and understanding of the National Consumer Credit Protection Act and EFT Code of Conduct - highly regarded
Knowledge and proficient use of Microsoft applications in particular – Excel and Word
High level analytical and decision-making skills required
Experience in Apply Online Tool is preferable
FSR Tier 2 Accreditation (highly regarded)
