Responsibilities

The Loan Specialist performs technical, administrative, and bookkeeping duties inherent in the processing of approved loans from receipt of transaction to processing entries in the system of record

Major responsibilities include lines of credit availability, checking terms and conditions, coordinating the processing with operations or commercial departments if needed

Reviewing approved transactions legal documents to ensure compliance with approved terms and conditions while observing regulatory compliance and bank established policies and procedures, coordinating the processing of transactions with operations or commercial departments, as needed

Perform all related loan functions, such as reviewing legal documents, preparing loan offering, processing input into E-IBS, OFAC filtering creating, administrating and processing loan disbursements and repayments

Review and process loan investigations

Prepare, review and distribute daily reports: Past Due Loan, Overdraft report, Amortization, CBL

Prepare customer correspondence and customer service

Must provide timely and appropriate responses to requests for information and/or customer complaints or concerns and provide appropriate follow-up to ensure issues are resolved

Assist with logging, safeguarding of legal documents received and performing inventory of legal documents in custody

Perform administrative functions of the department

Effectively speaking before groups of customers or employees

Assume evolving duties and responsibilities of position

Work all hours required to fulfill job duties and responsibilities including weekends, evenings and holidays as needed)

Travel as required

Provide coverage for other positions as requested

Ability to carry and lift boxes and/or other objects that may weigh between 10 and 25 pounds

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

DUTIES OF THE POSITION

PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:

COMPUTER:

Ability to operate IBM compatible personal computers; fluency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Google, working knowledge of SWIFT. Datapro E-IBS is preferred but not required.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year College preferred

EXPERIENCE:

5 – 7 years’ work experience in Loan Operations
