Total remuneration package of $111,365 per annum including superannuation and the full optional benefit of salary packaging.

What you’ll be doing in this role?

Reporting to the Area Manager NDIS LAC Service and working under guidance from the Team Leader, the Local Area Coordinator is responsible for undertaking the pathway services. The Local Area Coordinator is responsible for assisting people with a disability, their families and carers to build and pursure their goals, exercise contral and engage with the NDIS, and ensuring that people with a disability can be supported outside of the NDIS by working with communities and mainstream services to build awareness and to become more inclusive of the range of needs and aspirations of people with a disability.

Your work will include:

Assisting NDIS-eligible people, their families and / or carers to establish an NDIS plan that supports their goals through pre-planning, planning and plan reassessment.
Assisting participants with implementation, ongoing monitoring and plan reassessment to support activation of their plan, leveraging individual strengths and capabilities.
Work with community based organisations to support people with a disabilitiy, to raise awareness and explain the NDIS, its goals and functions to the community.

A current Working with Children Check (Employee)
NDIS Workers Screening Check (can be obtained during application)
Qualifications in and or lived experience of disability will be highly regarded (desirable)
