Job Description
Seeking an experienced Rates Officer to join our team in regional Queensland.
Work from Home/Part-Time Opportunity - 15 hours per week minimum. This role may be negotiable up to full-time to undertake additional finance and administrative duties.
Responsibilities:
Assist with rates processing;
Collection of outstanding rates assessments;
Maintenance of the property database.
Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Rates Officer in Local Government;
Knowledge of legislation, policies, and procedures related to rates and revenue;
Understanding of Local Government operations;
Experience in operating Windows-based software and computerized financial management systems;
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, or Local Government experience will be highly regarded;
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills;
Ability to commence work immediately.
Benefits:
Quarterly visits to Council may be required;
