Role Description
• Prospect new potential advertisers and advertising opportunities (although we have a large database of leads to start with)
• Connect with existing and new potential advertisers via phone, email and in-person.
• Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and existing accounts
• In conversations with existing and potential advertisers, listen and ask questions that help identify how we can best serve them
• Sell ads and close deals
• Track all sales activities in the company CRM system and keep it current by updating account information regularly
• Maintain list of advertisements in each issue of the magazine and help schedule online partnerships
Our ideal candidate:
• Has previous experience in sales
• Understands the nature of print advertising and how it differs from web and social media ads
• Is excited about connecting with local businesses to build relationships
• Operates with integrity, always
• Is ethical, independent, confident, highly organized, and has excellent command of phone and email communications, including grammar/spelling
• Knowledge of the Jupiter area is preferred, and ideally, has contacts in the area
