The jobholder is entrusted with the responsibility to direct and manage the growth of the entities business in one of the locations where the Mobile Wealth Planners shall be placed within the country. The teams shall be situated in a strategic location of the city, and shall have the potential to fully realize the opportunity in the targeted catchment. The principal objective is to grow, WPBs wealth management business, by prospecting, discovering needs through financial planning journeys and enabling customers to avail of products which meet their identified needs. The incumbent shall be responsible to maximise contribution to area profitability in line with the Strategic and Area Operating Plans. The jobholder is required to coordinate marketing efforts, exceed customer expectations, actively manage attrition in the face of the stiff competition and closely monitor branch operations to ensure a high level of service delivery.
Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB)
Wealth and Personal Banking is our new global business combining Retail Banking and Wealth Management; and Global Private Banking, to become one of the world's largest global wealth managers with trillion in assets. Wealth Management
HSBC Wealth Management leads the Asia-Pacific implementation of our global strategy to deliver world-class solutions to retail and private clients seeking to grow, protect, preserve or transfer their wealth. This involves the development and management of needs-based solutions covering foreign exchange, deposit, investment, insurance and financing products, as well as the provision of suitable market insights and updates, financial planning and advisory services.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the Wealth Development Team as Vice President – Wealth Products
Principal Responsibilities

• Handles all customer complaints efficiently within the SLA to TCF.
Leadership & Teamwork
• Contribute to subordinate development and boosting branch morale at all times
• Accountable for the line management, sales management and coaching of all staff.
• Recruitment of new members into team, based on Bank Standard process.
• Proactively coaches and guides staff on product and selling skills.
• All staff have development plan in place and effective team building sessions run as appropriate.
• Effective succession plan in place
• Create and maintain an environment where the branch team maximise performance and provide the highest quality service.
• Manage and drive the collective performance of the team.
• Maintains the levels of operational integrity.
• Achieve branch targets defined in the operating plan.
• Focus on profitable long term relationships with customers.

Operational Effectiveness & Control
• Awareness of the operational risk associated with the role and the action to be taken to minimize the likelihood of operational risk occurring including risk identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting.
• Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators Requirements
• Master degree in a relevant discipline with minimum 5 years of solid experience in the investments area
• Good knowledge of the Mutual Fund/ PMS/AIF/Broking industry, including industry dynamics, regulatory environment and customer demands
• Solid product management and project management experience
• Strong compliance sense to external regulatory requirement and internal guidelines
• Strong motivation, commercial awareness and communication skills
• Previous work experience in equity broking will be preferable
