Logistic Agent

As the Logistics Agent, you will be responsible for operating the forklift to load and unload warehouse material, receive and record the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment and stock and optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency and safety, while following all applicable instructions, policies and procedures as provided by Ben-Mor Cables Inc.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accurately pick, pack, check, and load products to and from designated areas in the facility, as well as on and off trailers as per internal and external customer requirements and following all applicable instructions and Health & Safety policies and procedures;
• Participate in ongoing inventory and cycle count management;
• Inspect and report on machinery and tools within the warehouse to determine the need for repairs, and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance;
• Inspect and report on quality of material and product before, during and following the shipping and receiving processes;
• Assist with shipping, receiving and logistics processes, as applicable;
• Maintain documentation, inventory and good housekeeping of work area(s);
• Ensure a safe environment for employees and visitors; report concerns/incidents, as required; and
• Perform other related tasks and functions as required by the dictates of the business needs relative to the nature of the position.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Three (3) years of previous forklift experience;
• Valid Forklift Operator Certification;
• Previous relevant experience as a material handler, or equivalent, in a manufacturing setting considered an asset;
• Ability to meet the physical and sensory demands of the job;
• Manual dexterity with strong attention to detail and ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required;
• Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills;
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal;
• Must be professional, punctual, reliable and willingness to learn;
• Capability to work effectively and safely in a fast-paced and changing environment;
• Must have ability to regularly lift, lower, carry, push and pull up to 50lbs with rotation;
• Must be physically capable of working in various positions for lengthy periods of time (sit, bend, squat, kneel, stand);
• Commitment to being a team player and actively participating in increasing morale and employee engagement;
• Reliable transportation is considered an asset;
• CSA approved safety footwear

POSITION CONDITIONS
• Permanent, full-time position (following probationary period);
• Repetitive work requiring various position(s);
• Ability to lift, lower, carry, push and pull up to 50lbs with rotation is required.
