Job Description
Project Open Hand is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Food Delivery Specialist. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering nutritious meals to homebound clients and senior sites throughout San Francisco and Alameda counties.
Key Responsibilities:
Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
Driving POH vehicles to ensure timely delivery of meals
Delivering extra routes not covered by volunteers
Preparing route sheets and engaging with delivery volunteers as needed
Facilitating communication between clients, dispatcher, and client services
Requirements:
Two years' experience driving large delivery vehicles in an urban setting
Valid California driver's license and excellent driving record
Schedule flexibility and ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends when necessary
Strong verbal and written proficiency in English
