What You'll Do
Coordinate freight shipments across North America and internationally, using various modes of transport
Provide rate quotations, negotiate with carriers, and book transportation for clients
Generate and manage shipment documentation such as work orders, invoices, and bills of lading
Track and trace shipments to ensure timely delivery, updating clients on their shipment status
Resolve issues such as missing documentation or lost freight, ensuring client satisfaction
Interact with clients and vendors via phone, email, and occasionally face-to-face meetings
Audit and approve vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policy
Support colleagues with operational tasks and provide guidance as needed
Participate in ongoing professional development through courses, seminars, and webinars
What You'll Bring
Completion of CIFFA certification or equivalent industry training (preferred)
1-2 years of experience in the logistics industry
Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and vendors globally
Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and other relevant software
Basic mathematical skills for handling invoices and rate calculations
