Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods and ensuring efficient intermodal transportation. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments to optimize supply chain operations and a deep understanding of transportation documentation and understanding of how to use different tracking systems.
Duties
Coordinate and oversee logistics operations, including communicating and coordinating intermodal shipments and troubleshooting bottlenecks.
Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to ensure timely delivery of products.
Implement and maintain Transportation Management Systems (TMS) for efficient routing and scheduling of shipments.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, receipts, and inventory levels using various systems including CMMS.
Identify areas for process improvement within the supply chain to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Experience
Proven experience in logistics coordination or a similar role within supply chain management.
Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
Knowledge of order fulfillment processes, shipping, receiving, and inventory management practices.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and external partners.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

- Job will start as part time during training and if the applicant is deemed suitable and has completed their training they may transition to full time
