Job Description
TIMG is a trusted New Zealand business with over 30 years’ experience solving information management and secure logistics challenges for organisations nationwide. With secure warehouses and transport networks across the country, we protect and deliver value from our customers’ information assets — from sole traders and partnerships through to New Zealand’s most critical government agencies.
Our services include secure logistics, secure document destruction, IT asset disposal, and physical and digital records storage, supported by intelligent digital solutions that help organisations operate safely and efficiently.
About the TIMG Careers Pathway Programme
Join the TIMG Careers Pathway programme and step into an Auckland-based permanent full-time role designed for people who want real responsibility, structured development, and a clear starting point for a long-term career.
From day one, you’ll be trusted with work that matters, supporting secure logistics operations, safeguarding information, and delivering reliable service to customers. You’ll build practical skills through structured onboarding, clear goals, and regular feedback, with exposure across different teams and functions.
This pathway is ideal for people who want hands-on experience, not just a desk-based role, and who are motivated to grow their capability and leadership potential.
About the role
The Logistics Coordinator role is a hands-on position where you’ll support the smooth and efficient flow of work across our operations. You’ll contribute to daily workflows and play a key part in delivering great service and maintaining safe, reliable processes.
What you will be doing
Support day-to-day tasks across the business, with exposure to multiple departments (e.g., operations, customer service, and corporate teams)
Handling, processing, and organising information, documents, data, and items accurately and securely, including scanning, data updates, basic quality checks, and keeping records/systems well-organised
Coordinating and supporting 3PL (third-party logistics) activities, including liaising with external fulfilment partners to ensure accurate stock handling, dispatch, reconciliation, and issue resolution
Contributing to safety, security, and compliance practices (including confidentiality and chain-of-custody), and supporting secure destruction activities for confidential documents, data, and IT assets
Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet team goals and deliver great customer outcomes
What you’ll get
A permanent, full-time role with stability from day one
Structured onboarding, clear goals, and regular feedback to support your development
Broad exposure across secure logistics and information management functions
Opportunities to build transferable skills in logistics, data handling, quality, and customer service
Internal mentoring and development aligned to internal development frameworks
A safety-first, supportive team environment where your contribution matters
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for people who are keen to learn, contribute, and grow. This could include recent graduates, people starting their careers, or those bringing transferable experience from another role or industry.
Great to work with: positive, respectful, and able to build strong working relationships
Customer-focused: comfortable supporting customers or working in service-based environments
Practical problem-solver: solutions-focused and willing to get involved
Reliable and hands-on: strong follow-through with a “no task too small or big” mindset
Study or experience: tertiary study is valued but not essential. Equivalent practical or customer-facing experience is also welcomed
Community, leadership, or teamwork experience through volunteering, sport, clubs, or similar activities is valued, but not essential
