Description
Logistics team leaders support customer service and delivery activities by coordinating and directing teams tasked with shipping, receiving, and storage of goods. They focus on order fulfillment and supply chain coordination, as well as personnel management.
Logistics Lead Duties & Responsibilities
Recruiting and managing a team of professionals to oversee vendor operations, inventory, programming, stocking, picking, shipping, returns and stock refurbishment and disposal
Working with leadership to design and tailor logistics processes including customer facing and back office procedures
Developing and managing outsourced logistics center operations
Negotiating vendor contracts and change orders, including service level agreements and pricing
Management of Service Level Agreements via scorecard metrics trend analysis including high performance, timely and accurate forward and reverse logistics
Forecasting and budgeting logistics services to meet promotional schedules and customer growth requirements
Lead and coordinate the material management team that enters request orders for multiple contracts in various locations within
Develop and update metrics to quantify performance in logistics operations
Prepare daily correspondence and briefings in support of logistics operations
Identify, troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve issues or gaps in logistics operations at program and task order levels
