Logistics Coordinator Role
We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will optimize logistics operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods. You will play a key role in transportation management, inventory control, order processing, and supplier coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Transportation Optimization: Determine efficient and cost-effective transportation methods (trucks, ships, trains) to ensure timely delivery while minimizing costs.
Shipping Documentation: Prepare and manage shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Order Verification: Verify orders before shipment to ensure correct products, quantities, and packaging are dispatched.
Shipment Monitoring: Track shipments in transit, address delays or issues promptly, and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
Inventory Management: Maintain optimal stock levels in warehouses to meet demand without excess storage costs. Accurately record incoming and outgoing goods and update inventory in NetSuite.
Order Processing: Receive and process incoming orders, ensuring accurate and efficient handling from receipt to shipment.
Supplier Coordination: Communicate with suppliers to confirm production schedules, ensure timely delivery of raw materials, and resolve supply chain disruptions.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, transportation providers, and customers to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues promptly.
Logistics Analysis: Analyze logistics processes to identify opportunities for improvement in cost, time, and efficiency, and implement best practices where necessary.
Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all logistics activities adhere to transportation regulations, safety protocols, and quality standards.
Reporting: Prepare regular reports on logistics performance, inventory levels, shipping metrics, and other KPIs.
Chargeback Management: Process and dispute retail chargebacks in accordance with company procedures.
System Integration: Ensure seamless order processing and communication between systems, including NetSuite and EDI, to maintain data accuracy and efficiency.
