Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
As a Logistics Shift Supervisor, you’ll lead a team of Logistics Warehouse Assistants to deliver exceptional logistics services to our internal stakeholders across the SkyCity precinct. Reporting to the Logistics Shift Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our main dock and logistics areas.
In this hands-on leadership role, you will:
Supervise and support a team of 1–15 team members (depending on site) across your shift
Oversee the receiving, checking, and safe storage of fresh and dry goods – ensuring quality, correct quantities and no damage
Manage inventory levels, stock records, and cycle counts to keep accurate, reliable data in our systems (including Dynamics 365)
Coordinate deliveries across a fast-paced dock environment servicing a high volume of vehicles each day
Ensure timely, in-full delivery (DIFOTIS) of goods to internal customers across our hotels, food & beverage, gaming, Sky Tower, gift shop and property teams
Use systems such as Dynamics 365, Excel, Donesafe (H&S) and Veyor (dock management) to keep operations flowing smoothly
Support Health & Safety and food safety standards, including daily checks, hazard identification and ambassador activities
Work closely with the Logistics Shift Manager on efficient rostering, continuous improvement and operational projects
Coach, mentor and develop your team, role-modelling SkyCity’s values and service standards
This is a rostered shift role based on-site across our Auckland precinct, so you’ll be on the move – in the dock, in the warehouse, and out with internal stakeholders.

You’re a people leader who loves getting stuck in- someone who can keep calm under pressure, solve problems on the fly, and still bring your team with you. You’re just as comfortable on the dock floor as you are updating reports and stock records.
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
Proven operational leadership experience – ideally in warehousing, logistics or stock control
Strong inventory management and warehouse operations experience
Confidence using ERP systems (e.g. Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle or NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Excellent problem-solving, adaptability and time management skills
Clear, calm and consistent communication – you build trust with your team, suppliers and internal stakeholders
Strong planning and organisational skills, with great attention to detail
Ability to work rostered shift work to meet business needs
A full Class 1 driver’s licence
5+ years’ industry experience and experience with Dynamics 365 and/or tertiary study are desirable
You’ll enjoy working in a large, complex environment where there are many stakeholders to get to know, lots happening at once, and plenty of opportunities to improve how things are done.
