About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Transportation Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing driver operations, including daily schedules, routes, meal delivery, and inventory management.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage driver operations, including scheduling, routing, meal delivery, and inventory management.
Supervise and develop drivers for day-to-day operations.
Facilitate training for new hires and ongoing driver training.
Oversee fleet maintenance, including preventative and ongoing maintenance, incidents, accidents, and infection control measures.
Ensure fleet and driver safety through audits, compliance checks, pre-trip inspections, and quality control reporting.
Coordinate with Transportation Coordinators and attend cross-functional meetings.
Cross-train and provide coverage during staffing shortages or leaves.
Enforce and monitor white and yellow zones, communicating with vendors and partner delivery services.
Requirements
Experience in logistics and transportation logistics.
Leadership skills to manage drivers effectively.
Strong communication skills to interact with management, peers, vendors, and partners.
Data entry proficiency.
Driving experience.
Operational management skills.
