Job Title: Logistics Operator
Duration: Minimum 3-6 months with potential for extension based on volumes
Position Overview: Our client is seeking a Logistics Operator to join their team in a busy factory environment. The role involves a variety of basic stores duties including picking, cutting, loading, servicing packing machines using a forklift truck, and other related tasks. The position requires individuals who are detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform basic stores duties such as picking, cutting, loading, and servicing packing machines.
• Operate a forklift truck safely and efficiently.
• Maintain clear handwriting and ensure accuracy in number transfer.
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the work area.
• Demonstrate good hand-eye coordination and observation skills.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
• Work with a methodical but fast approach, ensuring quality and avoiding cutting corners.
• Utilize hand-held scanners for inventory management.
• Be adaptable and flexible to work on a rotating shift pattern.
Requirements:
• Clear handwriting and accuracy in number transfer.
• High standard of housekeeping.
• Good hand-eye coordination and observation skills.
• Safety-conscious with a methodical yet efficient approach.
• Attention to detail and quality-driven mindset.
• Flexibility and versatility to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with hand-held scanners is preferred.
• PC literate.
• Possess a valid Counter Balance Forklift license and demonstrate previous professional experience using it.
Shift:
• 4 on/4 off 12-hour shift pattern (Days and Nights)
Pay:
• £15.7+ per hour inclusive of shift premium
MIT:
• Counter Balance forklift license
