As an Android Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing our Android apps, ensuring exceptional user experiences and contributing to a product that empowers hyperlocal communities.
Your Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to translate product requirements into features.
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and architecture decisions .
- Build and maintain scalable, reliable systems using best engineering practices.
- Develop new features, optimize existing ones, and ensure high-quality deliverables .
- Contribute to team growth through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
What We're Looking For :
- 4-5+ years of experience in Android development (apps on Google Play are a plus!).
- Proficiency in Kotlin or Java, with deep knowledge of Android SDK and design principles.
- Familiarity with libraries, video streaming, analytics, payment gateways, and RESTful APIs.
- Experience in offline storage, threading, and performance tuning .
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
- A knack for benchmarking, optimization, and supporting multiple Android devices .
- Experience with code versioning tools like Git.
- Published at least one original Android app.
