Job description
Atlantic Grocery Distributors, one of Newfoundland and Labradors fastest growing companies is now hiring We offer competitive wages, benefits package, full time/part time hours and are continuously looking for new members to join our outstanding team.
Currently hiring for:Delivery Driver Helper in the St. John's area. 2-3 shifts per week, some overnights are required (hotel provided)
• Responsibilities:
- Helping driver with assigned truck and delivering products to customers in safe and timely
- Checking off all customer orders at time of delivery
- Completing all paper work and return to office at days end
- Completing daily log sheet
- Communicate with Supervisor of any questions/issues/problems endured
- Time management, organization, excellent focus, attention to detail
- Conduct business in a professional and courteous manner and attitude
- Adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety Standards
- Work as a team member by interacting and communicating in a cooperative manner
- Demonstrated regular attendance
- Shift flexibility required
- Must be willing to do to overnight runs (hotel accommodations provided)
- Perform other duties as assigned
• Required Qualifications:
- Strong work ethic
- Self-starter and positive attitude
- Steel-toed boots required
- Safety vest required
- Clean certificate of conduct & 2 work related references
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
• Physical Environment: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job duties.
Requires the ability to reach, bend, balance, lift and transport various objects weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift; at times, product weight may reach above 50 lbs. Requires the ability to move heavy product with assistance
Must have the ability to stand, walk and / or move about for extended periods of time

• Salary: From $14.00 per hour

Job description
Long Point Eco-Adventures is seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working and reliable individual to join our team. Dishwashers will join our Marshview kitchen staff to help prepare, clean-up and provide a sanitary breakfast, lunch, dinner and catering experience for our on site guests. A successful applicant will possess a positive attitude, exceptional communication skills and understands the importance of punctuality & reliability. The willingness and ability to work in a team environment is essential to our work culture at Long Point Eco-Adventures.
Dishwasher responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Must be willing to work early mornings for breakfast service (on occasion)
- Follow proper cleaning, sanitation and food handling procedures
- Willing to work in a fast-paced environment that is customer service oriented
- Perform opening, closing and cleaning tasks as outlined
- Communicate effectively with front of house staff to ensure all utensils / glassware are available for service
- Operate the ‘EcoLab’ dishwasher with appropriate cleaning detergents
- Answer, report and follow up with Head Chef and/or Sous Chef
- Maintain a positive attitude towards other kitchen staff, front of house wait staff and customers
- Report any issues or safety concerns to department head
- A willingness to perform other duties on site as requested
Qualifications:
- High school diploma preferred, but not essential
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Have knowledge of cooking and food sanitation procedures
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude and personality are a must
- Must be willing to receive First Aid/CPR training
• All applicants must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Seasonal
Contract length: 8 months
Part-time hours: 15-40 per week
• Salary: From $15.50 per hour
