Job Description
The Rural Municipality of Argyle is seeking a self-motivated individual for a full-time position divided between LUD of Baldur Operator and Utility Operator.
Reporting to the PW Foreman/CAO, the role includes town maintenance, mowing, snow blowing, supervising students or casual employees, and all duties related to sampling, water plant operations, and wastewater management. The successful candidate will be required to achieve full certification in Level II Water Distribution and Small System Wastewater.
Requirements:
Maintenance, safety, and beautification of the Town of Baldur
Ability to safely operate and maintain various equipment (e.g., snowblower, mower, skid steer)
Ability to perform all duties involved in operating a water plant and wastewater treatment system
Computer proficiency (Word and Excel)
Effective communication skills, both oral and written
Demonstrated competence in safe work practices
Physical ability to perform all labour aspects of the position
Ability to work cooperatively and courteously with Council, supervisors, staff, contractors, and the public
Willingness to obtain necessary certifications (paid by the RM)
Criminal Record Check
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
Other public works duties as assigned
