Job Description
• Support 17 minors across a client's boys & girls shelter
• Provide over-the-phone and in-person medical guidance to minors i.e., wrap and ice a sprained ankle, take ibuprofen for pain, etc.
• Maintain accurate and updated documentation regarding biographical data, admission assessment, medical progress notes, Medication List, Medication Log, MARs, TARs, Sickness/Allergy Forms, Medical instructions/recommendations, medical summaries, Safety plans, SIRs, IRs
• Provide quality care and supervision to clients in accordance with ORR and TDFPS rules, program philosophy and procedure and clients’ rights
• Maintain ratio and close supervision through all activities
• Must report immediately to the supervisor any doubts, questions, medical concerns, or procedures regarding the client’s health
• Ensure the client’s information and medical files for are safe and kept confidential
• Effectively communicate information pertaining to the health of clients according to the program policies and procedures to ensure quality services and client safety
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing OR LPN, LVN, RN, or BSN
• 1 year or experience in public health or healthcare setting w/ experience in care coordination, health administration, or direct clinical care setting
• Bilingual, English and Spanish
• Valid Texas Driver’s License
