Job Description
We are a small manufacturing company in Santa Fe Springs that builds custom industrial deburring and finishing machines. Our equipment is used by customers in aerospace, medical, dental, metal finishing, and general manufacturing industries.
We are looking for a hands-on Machine Builder / Field Service Technician to help assemble, repair, test, and service our equipment. This is not a facilities or building maintenance role. This is a shop-floor mechanical role focused on building and servicing industrial machines.
Position Overview
This position is a mix of machine assembly, mechanical fitting, troubleshooting, testing, repair, and occasional local field service. Our machines are custom-built, so the work is not repetitive production assembly. Some days may involve installing bearings, shafts, motors, guards, tanks, plumbing, brackets, or machine components. Other days may involve drilling, tapping, grinding, fitting parts, troubleshooting issues during testing, or helping service a machine at a customer facility.
We are looking for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, can think through problems, and is willing to help wherever needed.

Inspect parts and assemblies for proper fit, alignment, and function
Assist with repairs, rebuilds, and service work on customer machines

Qualifications
Experience in machine building, mechanical assembly, industrial equipment repair, field service, or similar hands-on mechanical work
Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
Experience with drilling, tapping, grinding, fitting, and mechanical repairs
Basic understanding of bearings, shafts, pulleys, belts, motors, fasteners, and mechanical assemblies
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems and work through fit-up issues
Able to read basic drawings, diagrams, or assembly instructions
Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to help in different areas of the shop
Comfortable going on occasional local service calls
Valid driver’s license preferred
Helpful Skills, But Not Required
Manual lathe or mill experience

Electrical troubleshooting experience
Experience with industrial machinery, tumbling equipment, packaging equipment, conveyors, pumps, motors, or manufacturing equipment

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a practical, hands-on person who has worked around machinery and enjoys figuring things out. This could be someone with experience as a machine builder, industrial mechanic, field service technician, mechanical assembler, equipment repair technician, or manufacturing maintenance technician.
We are not looking for a production operator. We are looking for someone who can help build, repair, troubleshoot, and service custom industrial machines.
Work Environment
