Machine Operator
Production Operator/Machine Operator
This is a Monday-to-Friday role with a shift schedule of 5:30am to 1:30pm.
Duties:
Conduct prestart checks on all plant and equipment.
Pick and assemble associated building accessories.
Fills coil bays of raw materials around machines.
Fills tie wire stands at machines.
Operate loading PCs and RF scanners.
Empty steel scrap bins and assist in scrap recovery off machines.
Carry out production, inspection, packaging, and machine operation duties.
Set up machinery and ensure all materials are readily available.
Effectively monitor production equipment.
Perform duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Maintain a safe and clean workspace.
Follow machine safety and operating procedures.
Will work overtime when required.
Requirements:
Have prior experience in steel manufacturing (preferred but not essential).
Must be reliable and commit to hours.
Show attention to detail.
Have a high work ethic.
Be able to work independently.
The ability to learn new skills quickly.
Ability to organise, prioritise, and successfully complete daily tasks.
Comply with personal protective equipment requirements and other safe working practices.
Ability to work in a team environment.
