Job description, work day and responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, water heaters, and drainage systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and building plans to determine the layout of plumbing systems and materials required.
• Diagnose plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, or water pressure problems and implement effective solutions.
• Assemble, install, and secure pipes, fittings, valves, and appliances such as sinks, toilets, and dishwashers.
• Test plumbing systems for leaks and ensure functionality using pressure gauges and other diagnostic tools.
• Repair or replace worn-out or damaged plumbing components, including pipes, faucets, and seals.
• Adhere to safety standards, building codes, and local regulations during all plumbing work.
• Perform regular inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues and recommend preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any necessary follow-up tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and offering advice on maintaining plumbing systems.
