Job Description
Contribute to development of modern solutions for Ensono’s managed services client base
• Develop comprehensive understanding of strategic direction and priorities of Mainframe Product Management
• Design and refine solutions that meet and align with the technology strategy and roadmap
• Engineer new modern mainframe solutions in our R&D sandbox
• Own all aspects of POC testing to create new products and solutions
• Responsible for the design, build, test, automation, and documentation solutions using agile methodologies
• Collaborate with cross functional teams when new products are developed and tested
• Develop documentation to be leveraged during training of our technical teams for incremental services
• Provide technical expertise and governance for new service introductionupdate processes
• Advance Ensono mainframe product portfolios integration with IBM Z and off platform solutions
Desired Experience
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in a large-scale IT environment
• Strong hands-on experience with installation and configuration of mainframe products and software
• 3+ years’ experience in design & implementation of modern IBM Z capabilities
• Previous experience designing integrated solutions, including technical documentation, testing, validation, and problem resolution
• Ability to create vendor technical evaluation criteria and test plans for mainframe technologies
• Self-motivated and driven to define and complete deliverables
• Excellent analytic, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Proven ability to adapt to rapidly changing technologies
• Participate and help inform corporate or business unit-level strategic planning is desired
• Moderate level understanding of network/security concepts
Required Technology Expertise
• Hands on experience and conceptual understanding of the IBM Z platform architecture
• Experience in creating architecture designs with consideration to modern hybrid IT hybrid cloud technology architecture
• Capable of standing up R&D z/OS LPARS on our LAB environment
• Fearless to research, deploy, and leverage IBM Z modern capabilities
• z/OS fundamental concepts is a must
• Thorough working knowledge and experience with SMP/E installations of IBM and ISV SW products
• Fluent in JCL, Python, and REXX
• Knowledge of catalog structures, LPARS, SYSPLEX, and resource sharing
• Working knowledge of storage (disk and tape) solutions
• Working knowledge of CICS, Db2, MQ, and other RDBMS solutions
• Conceptual knowledge of ACF2, TSS, and RACF dataset and resource rules
• Excellent TSO, JCL, IBM UTILITIES, JES2, and ISPF a must
• Familiarity with how developers use CI/CD tooling, containerization, API integrations and the like

• Linux One is desired and experience along with hosting solutions on IFL or Linux One environments
