Your Role And Responsibilities
• Leverages expertise in the operation and management of IT hardware, software, communications, and/or application solutions, and the resources required to plan for, develop, deliver, and support properly engineered IT services and products to meet the needs of a business.
• Prepares new or changed services, manages change processes, and manages performance of systems and services in relation to their contribution to business performance.
• Applies technical skills to support the operation and maintenance of vendor products, services, and solutions and typically have responsibility for sizing, troubleshooting, and critical client situations
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
• Responsible for the administration of Websphere MQ (WMQ) subsystems and associated software on the client’s mainframes.
• 7+ years of experience.
• Install, test, configure and implement mainframe WMQ and associated system software while maintaining a stable operating system environment for business applications.
• Perform WMQ system backups and recovery Monitors system activity for performance and availability and where necessary, tune accordingly Perform problem diagnosis and resolution.
• Create, maintain and use automation scripts for MQ for z/OS monitoring, alerting and problem determination and resolution Design and Implement security aspects related to MQ.
• Architect/Design Clustering, workload balancing in client environment Troubleshoot Infrastructure and Application issues related to MQ Evaluate and recommend changes to current and future system software requirements to meet the organization's needs.
• Ensure documentation of all related operational processes and procedures.
• Install and upgrade MQ for z/OS using Shop Series and SMP/E Troubleshoot MQ problems using MQ command line and monitoring tools Provide primary and backup on-call support during extended hours (including nights and weekends)

• Proficient in working with high availability environment along with alignment to process (ITIL).
• You love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies.
• Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work.
• Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management.
• Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications.
