Reporting to Depot Manager, the position includes the following responsibilities:
Ensuring safe & efficient shunting activities
Perform assigned duties in accordance with SCT Rail’s policies and work instructions.
Commitment to safety in the workplace
Ensure compliance with all of SCT’s OHS policies, procedures and applicable state and federal legislation
A strong customer focus orientation
Be able to work in a team environment and in some cases unsupervised
Desired Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Current Certificate 4Train Driving Qualifications.
Current Route Knowledge, Adelaide - Horsham Adelaide - Broken Hill, Adelaide - Perth
Shunting
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Current Track Access Permit (TAP)
Valid C Class Driver’s License
A strong commitment to safety.
Be reasonably fit and agile to meet the Category 1 medical standards.
All applicants please note: The successful candidate will be required to complete a full Pre-Employment CAT1 medical, including drug and ******* screening, and an Australian Federal Police check prior to commencement.
Other important information
We reserve the right to commence recruitment proceedings prior to the stated closing date.
The successful candidate will have to undertake an Australian Federal Police check and Pre-Employment Medical (for certain roles) which will be arranged and paid for by SCT.
