Binns Property Works' is seeking an experienced Maintenance/Handy Person to join our team in Lake Tekapo, Canterbury. This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for providing essential maintenance and handyperson services to our valued clients and commercial customers. As part of our close-knit team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our clients' properties and businesses.
What you'll be doing
Performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, including general repair work, painting, gardening and property maintenance.
Completing scheduled and reactive maintenance activities to a high standard
Diagnosing and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner
Assisting with the coordination and supervision of external contractors as required
Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all work undertaken
Providing excellent customer service
What we're looking for
Experience (ideally 3+ years) as a Maintenance/Handy Person, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality work
Strong technical skills and knowledge across a range of maintenance disciplines such as, carpentry, general building maintenance, grounds maintenance and landscaping
Ability to problem-solve, think critically, and find creative solutions to complex issues
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
Self driven to seek out opportunities and be proactive work activities
Attention to detail and an organised work ethic
A current driver's license
