Maintenance Engineer

Location: Whitby, Ontario

Always working safely and promoting safe work habits

Responsible for successfully carrying out design/Project assignments as directed

Coordinates design/project assignments

Prepares or assists with, the conceptual design of a project

Reviews and/or prepares the detailed design

Performs site investigations and field reviews

Attends site meetings and liaise with clients/contractors and direct contractors on a daily basis

Reviews CAD drawings using AutoCAD and BIM using Rivet

Reviews and applies knowledge of relevant building codes and standards

Provide technical support for the development of standard systems (CL, CIL, SOPS and OPL’s) to enhance proper machine reliability

Provide and continuously develop process and technology expertise

Prepares Technical reports and specifications.

Project Management Responsibilities:

Develop a project plan and manages deliverables

Establishes and maintains a project schedule.

Tracks and manages project financials

Initiates billing and reviews sub-consultant invoices

Client Relation Responsibilities:

Responds to emails and voice messages in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction

Works with management to provide support for complaints and escalates issues as appropriate

Collaborates with interval teams to address customer needs

The Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering

P Eng in Ontario required or in progress.

Must possess a valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle

A minimum of 3 years experience in mechanical engineering related to a project Engineering in a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Excel

Detail oriented and strong organizational skills

The ability to problem-solve and take initiative

Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills

Ability to work efficiently under pressure w/simultaneous deadlines.

Ability to work cohesively with employees and managers as part of one team

Ability to present data effectively

Conduct stakeholder meetings in to solicit feedback, input, and expectations; and incorporate these Understanding of Health & Safety practices
